The final exam will be based on the
practice one, so if you have any comments or suggestions concerning the
practice exam, please let me know.
For each class I will have several suggested
problems
from the book. Some of them are supposed to test if you simply
understood definitions. You do not have to turn these exercises in.
However if you find some of them intriguing and/or interesting, it
would be great if you could put it in writing and explain why. I would
be very happy to read it.
Occasionally, I will post more challenging
problems. I
recommend that you try to think about them and maybe write something.
Again I would be very happy to read it.
There will be an exam at the end of the course. The
final grade will be based on the exam.
I might take into consideration for the final grade how active a
student has been in responding to the challenging
problems and to some
of the suggested
exercises.
Look in the schedule
for the info on days,
times, and rooms. This
changes often!
