Titel: On boundaries of statistical models

Abstract

In this talk I will give an overview of my PhD thesis "On boundaries of statistical models". We will study various combinatorial, geometric, and computational tools to decsribe the boundaries of statistical models for categorical data, allowing for an understanding of which distributions with small support are contained in the model.
