Complex Systems, 3HP An intensive ACCESS graduate course

Speaker: Dr. Zhixin Liu Complex Systems Research Center, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China Time: Tentatively scheduled in the middle of March, 2009. The exact time will be announced later. Location: Room 3721, Lindstedtsv. 25.

Goal of the course

The goal of this course is to give a brief introduction to complex systems. In this course, we will introduce some basic classes of complex systems, such as complex networks, collective behavior of multi-agent systems, game theory. We will present analysis, control and intervention of some complex systems, and some analysis techniques will also be mentioned. Therefore, this course is suitable for students who are interested in complex systems, which is perhaps the case for most ACCESS affiliated students.

    * Collective behavior of multi-agent systems I: analysis
    * Collective behavior of multi-agent systems II: intervention
    * Game theory
    * Adaptive systems
