X-ray phase-contrast imaging and 3D reconstruction
Phase-contrast x-ray imaging is a method for observing the refraction of x-rays, in addition to the absorption observed in conventional x-ray images. One advantage is also the ability to observe small details at doses much lower than the conventional method. But reconstruction gets more difficult, as the relation between object and image is not as straightforward as in absorption imaging. In an open-ended presentation the two major phase-contrast methods will be presented, with focus on the reconstruction process.
