The first Technion Society was founded by Dr. Albert Einstein upon his return to Germany after his visit to the historical Technion campus in 1923.

As we enter into the next millenium, we will see a growing amount of Technion Societies. To date, there are 14 participating countries. Thousands of Technion society members worldwide support the institute's development by generously funding scholarships, faculty chairs, and projects including new buildings, dormitories, laboratories and Interdisciplinary Research Centers of Excellence.
