Algebraic Geometry with a view towards applications

Mittag-Leffler, Stockholm

January 15-June 15 2011

During the spring of 2011 the Mittag-Leffler Institute will host a program called "Algebraic Geometry with a view towards applications".
Experts in Enumerative and Computaional Algebraic Geometry will gather in Stockholm to discuss and report on recent advances in the area.
The emphasis of the program is on the algebraic geometrical techniques that recently have opened new diretions in other fields like
Physics, Statistics, Biology, Numerical Analysis.
More information is available on the program page at the Mittag Leffler.

Who is going to be in residence? Here is a list of people who have confirmed their participation.

Two workshops and one conference will be organized as satellite activities:

Jan. 10-14 at the CMA in Oslo
Algebraic Geometry in the sciences
organizers: K. Ranestad, R. Piene
Feb. 21-25 at the CIAM, KTH in Stockholm
Solving polynomial equations
organizers: S. Di Rocco, J. Rosenthal, B. Sturmfels

May 30-June 3, 2011at Stockholm University.
MEGA 2011
(Effective Methods in Algeberaic Geometry)
