Between March 2003 and April 2008 I worked as a PhD student at the Division of Optimization and Systems Theory at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm on a joint industrial project with RaySearch Laboratories. My academic advisor was Professor Anders Forsgren . The aim of the project was to develop taylor-made optimization algorithms for intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). The title of my PhD thesis is Utilizing Problem Structure in Optimization of Radiation Therapy.

In October 2002 I received a MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology. During my fourth year I studied applied physics at Imperial College, London, and my Master Thesis was performed at Hewlett Packard Labs in Palo Alto, California.
