Welcome to the Den of the Keeper and Custodian of mimisbrunnr.math.kth.se
I used to have a dick, also - dick.math.kth.se. However, as time went
by, its behaviour tended to get more and more erratic and it became
impossible to rely on its performance. It was often down for overhaul
and upgrading. I therefore had it dismantled and finally scrapped. By
the way: it was named after my favourite science fiction writer,
Philip Kindred Dick. In case you wondered. After all, the world is full of dicks.
As You may know, MIMER (or MIMIR) - not to be confused with the MIME protocol - was one of the guys in old Norse mythology. Actually, Mimir was the fortunate owner of MIMISBRUNNR, The Wellspring of Wisdom, located close to one of the roots of YGGDRASILL, The World Tree, where all the action took place in those days.
One day ODIN, Chief of the AESIR and Mayor of VALHALLA (The Hall of the Slain) and Nordic counterpart of the Continental Celestial Luminaries WOTAN, JOVE and ZEUS, came to visit Mimir. Odin, who aspired to omniscience, was a sucker for wisdom and knowledge and was prepared to pay handsomely for it. Thus it came about that Mimir and Odin struck a bargain:
Odin relinquished his right eye in Mimir's well in exchange for complete and unlimited access to all the information in all the data bases of the known world, the Web of which he deftly navigated with the aid of his faithful domesticated ravens, HUGIN and MUNIN.

It is virtually certain that MIMA -- a highly advanced (almost god-like) self-improving neural network supercomputer in Nobel Prize winning author Harry Martinson's epic Aniara -- was designed with Mimir in mind.
