Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a Linear Programming-based technique for measuring the relative efficiency of peer Decision Making Units (DMUs). In this talk, we present some preliminaries about DEA models. The envelopment and multiplier basic DEA models are explained and their relationships are addressed. Some connections between DEA models and other economical notions are discussed.
