We illustrate here how a simple interpolation formula based on the Sylvester equation can be used to obtain a parametrization of Schur interpolants of fixed degree when the Pick matrix is singular. This idea is used to derive some results on reduced order Schur interpolants. Joint work with Gy. Michaletzky.
Both theoretical and numerical results will be presented.
