SF 2720, Chaotic dynamical systems, 7.5 hp , ht 2010.
Welcome to the course Chaotic dynamical systems! On this page
you will find information about the course.
Jan 12: The final exam will be on Friday January 21, 10:00-14:00 in room 3733 (the same room as the lectures). You can use the course book during the exam.
Nov 30: Yakov Sinai (Princeton), one of the leading experts in dynamical systems, will give Göran Gustafsson Lectures in mathematics on December 20 - 22. For more information, click here.
Oct 22: On todays lecture, lecture 7, we introduced some basic definitions from chapter 2, and discussed the Smale horseshoe (from chapter 5).
Oct 19: There will be a lecture on Friday October 22 at 10:15, as usual.
Oct 8: Homework assignment 2 is due Friday October 29.
Sep 27: During the first three lectures we have concentrated on one-dimensional dynamics. We have covered material from chapters 1 and 3, although we presented the material in a little bit different way.
Sep 15: Homework assignment 1 is due on Friday October 1.
Sep. 10: Next meeting will take place on Monday September 20 at 10:15 - 12:00 in Room 3733. The third meeting will be on Friday September 24 at 10:15 -12.
Aug. 20 : The first meeting will take place on Friday September 10 at 10:15 - 12:00 in Room 3733, Department of Mathematics, KTH
